For a haulier, every litre of diesel saved per truck, every avoided downshift on a climb, and every extra kilometre driven before the next downtime period make a difference at the end of the month. Yet your fleet leaves the factory with deliberately restricted engine maps.

Truck engine remapping rewrites this map to unlock the true potential of your heavy-duty vehicles. More torque under load, reduced fuel consumption, and smoother driving across the entire RPM range: it is an investment that pays back in months, not years.

RS-Tronic works on all major European brands: Volvo, DAF, Scania, MAN, Iveco, Renault Trucks, and Mercedes, with 14 years of expertise and a network of 90 centres in France.

Why remap a truck engine?

Reduced diesel fuel consumption

More torque under load

Smoother driving and reduced driver fatigue

A better optimized and preserved engine

Your optimized work tool

Long-distance transport

For tractor units that spend most of their time on motorways, we optimize the engine map to maximize diesel fuel savings at cruising speed and improve acceleration after slowdowns.

Mountain transport

For trucks that regularly travel through mountain passes, steep gradients, and demanding terrain, the focus shifts towards low-end torque and smoother performance under load.

Tippers, tankers, refrigerated trucks, and specialized vehicles

For vehicles with significant variations in load weight or those requiring consistent speed control (sensitive transport), the engine map is calibrated to ensure stable engine performance regardless of the payload carried.

Heavy-duty vans and mixed fleets

For heavy-duty vans (Sprinter, Master, Daily, Crafter in 3.5-tonne and higher versions) often integrated into truck fleets, we apply the same custom engine mapping approach, adapted to the engine specifications and daily use (urban delivery, after-sales service, roadside assistance, etc.).

Our services for trucks

RS-Tronic offers three distinct interventions that can also be combined, depending on your goal and the age of your fleet.

Stage 1: custom software optimization

Stage 1 is the go-to intervention for trucks. Fully software-based, it modifies the ECU's mapping without any mechanical disassembly. We read and save your original file, then install a mapping developed specifically for your model, your engine serial number, and your stated use.

Stage 1 is reversible: the original mapping is kept on our servers and can be reinstalled at any time (resale, dealership visit, end of lease).

RS-Tronic, your partner for heavy-duty vehicle remapping

For more than 14 years, RS-Tronic has been supporting transport operators, fleet managers, and independent drivers in optimizing their vehicles. Our network now includes 90 centres across France and abroad, with technicians trained in the specific requirements of Euro 5 and Euro 6 engines and the challenges of the transport industry.

Our expertise goes far beyond trucks: our centres also handle car engine remap, motorcycle engine remap, quad and buggy engine remap, and agricultural equipment remap, with the same commitment to precision and reliability.

Frequently asked questions

A professional engine remap, calibrated within the manufacturer's mechanical tolerances, does not weaken the engine or transmission. On the contrary, by avoiding constant downshifts and harsh load demands, it helps preserve the clutch and turbocharging system.

A simple Stage 1 remap usually takes half a day in the workshop. With decarbonization added, allow a full day. In most cases, the truck is ready to go back on the road the same day.

Yes. We systematically save the original engine map on our servers. Returning to factory settings is possible at any time, particularly for lease returns, resale, or visits to a dealership.

The price of a truck remapping starts from €890.
